Full-grain leather will naturally develop a deeper patina with use. Variations in grain, tone and texture are characteristics of genuine leather, not imperfections. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Keep away from prolonged exposure to water and moisture. Avoid perfumes, oils, solvents and other harsh chemicals. Do not machine wash or soak the leather. During humid or monsoon weather, allow the piece to air naturally if it becomes damp and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing it in direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Do not apply leather cream unless needed; if required, use a small amount of a suitable neutral leather conditioner and test it on an inconspicuous area first. Over time, the leather will develop its own character. This is part of what makes each Étui uniquely yours.
